What is BFI: CdM

        BFI : Connaissances du Monde

Connaissance du monde is divided into 3 themes:

Thinking about society

Living in the world

Building a common future

You will give a presentation in Terminale on an individual and personal project you have developed with an international partner.

Further Details:

As we are in a British section, the focus of all our work will be the United Kingdom (England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland).

Interestingly, this course is not designed to be teacher-led. Rather, we are going to develop your/our skill-set and so become better researchers and better academic investigators.

Global Issues is part of the process of learning to do research that you began in Middle School/Collège and so will reinforce your research and analysis skills.

Indeed, Global Issues is the gateway between high school and university studies. This programme of study should help you to make the transition from the world of school to the world of higher education, where your work  needs to be more autonomous and more individualized.

In 1ère, you will be supported through activities which develop your skills and interest in British culture.

In Tle, you, with the support of your teachers, will create and conduct your own research project from a theme within the three areas of study. This project will demain a contact with an international partner:
