Task ONE:
Use the BBC Bitesize Guide to answer the following questions:

2. What is the editorial stance of a newspaper/media source?
3. Who owns the British newspapers, and why is this information important for an informed readership?

Task TWO:
Compare the perspective of the BBC to media sources around the world.
Step One: Visit the BBC News webpage.
Step Two: Choose one or two headline news articles
Step Three: Compare how the BBC is reporting on this/these topic(s) compared to news sources from around the world:
Al Jazeera
Russian news, in English
French news: Le Monde
Step Four: Look for other news sources by Googling "Country name + News + English"
Step Four: Look at how other British online news sources are reporting on the issue/topic
Step Five: Create a table to record your information - include web address, headline /key language used, and similarities/differences.
Step Six: reach a conclusion. How do you feel (from this very basic search) that BBC presents its information?
Step Seven: Be ready to participate in an active conversation about this topic next class.
